Looks as if it's American dates ,but still useful. I'd find it interesting to see a comparison between the countries (UK and US).

One way of telling when things are in season in your country is when they are suddenly "half price".... yes, well they should be less than half of the out of season price to encourage people to eat relatively locally grown food that doesn't have to be transported half way around the world. I also think that there needs to be a lot of education about what grows in which countries - e.g. we can't grow citrus in large quantities in the UK, so that's always imported, but there are some place closer than others (Spain v. US) that we should try to source it from.
